Hey,
I know this is not PC related but maybe someone can help me.

I recently placed my old TV(8-9yrs) back on my room but,
it shows all programs in black and white....
Teletext is however in color so I'm sure it's still abled to produce colors.
I'm using a COAX cable directly from the TV-connection to my TV, I've also tried via an old vcr player but still gives black and white.
The TV is a Vestel 5125T.

Does anyone know a possible solution?

Open it up - check for blown capasitors on the diplay unit.
They might be blown without any visual damage.

Note: if this is a CRT or "old-bulky" TV, it's not advisable to start fiddlin inside unless u got experience with high voltage electrical appliances.
Next - get a partlist and component layout for your TV.
Order up new capasitors to replace those who were damaged or all of them.

Put the TV back together, X your fingers and hope it works.

If that fails -
Buy an old baby stroller - suspension is key !!!!
Place the TV at the front of the stroler. Make sure to fasten in a secure manner.
Place your VCR at the rear end of the stroler (towards you).
Place enough batteries all over your stroller untill you've got enough juice to power up your TV and VCR.

Take your TV for a spin around the block - forest - moutain - wherever.
The important thing is to find some place with people.

Casually watch a few old VCR videos while you walk up to a stranger.
Act all normal and prepare for the perfect moment.

Suddenly - flip your stroler to the side, so it stands on two wheels.
Scream while you "moonwalk" backwards while keepin the stroler on two wheels - as to create the illusion that the stranger is moving away from you at a great pace.
When you find yourself 10-15 feet or 3-5 meters behind the person continue to topple the stroller completly.

Cry and make sure other people see you.
If your able to - make a few statements where you claim the stranger pushed you and your stroler.
Note - if your TV did not brake in the fall - gently kick it repeatedly untill it does.

Now file a lawsuit or claim an insurrance price and buy yourself a New TV.
