I didn't know until now you have such funny groups in Norway. I was born in GDR.

Yet again I go abit off topic. happy.png

The group was formed by the norwegian comedians Atle Antonsen and Johan Golden a couple of years ago. Their name is a spoof on the Norwegian "tr√łnderrock" band DDE. Tey actually released one album, where they translated famous norwegian song word by word(and also have a coverversion og 99 Luftballons). So they might not make a lot of sence for german speakers. happy.png

On topic again:
It really cool to see how NRK and Hurtigruta can bring so many norwegians together. I read somewhere that 1.3 million people had seen the broadcast at one point... And people along the route are comming out som wave at the ship. Hurtigruta is THE biggest talk these days, and one of the most popular topics on twitter in norway this weekend. happy.png

Maybe it works properly now,but when the ships were new it was far from perfect.
Its not a pure diesel electric system you know. At speeds below 12 kts it is,but above it switches over to mechanic drive.
Thats where the problem's was.
If the weather was bad they could not get enough speed with the electric system, and had too head away from the weather too gain enough speed to switch over and then turn around again.
Maybe it's been fixed now,but i know they had a fair share of problems with it.

This is getting slightly off topic so I'll just PM you instead.

Many idiots too. Seen many dangerous manouvers by those hobby-captains.
Running right infront of the vessel.
When Nordnorge is running at 15 knots,it takes ca 370 M to stop at full reverse.(at a good day)
And the one at the helm has to react aswell.
If one of the small boats gets an enginefailure right infront of her, they are fubar.
Just think at the momentum: 11000 tonnes++ travelling at 15+knots.

People like that should not own boats.
(maybe a pioneer 8 with a 1hp outboard max)
