The norweigan lost me a little bit but if I understand your latest post you intend to mount a fan for exhaling air from the computer case?

if yes, then I can give you advice it is a lot better to cool case by mounting this fan other way, sucking in air to case instead and mount a fine fabric / filter to collect dust in front.. this is the best sollution because if you mount fans to blow air out of the case, it will result in under-pressure and your PC will start sucking in air, and simultaneously dust from whatever small holes are exposed, such as the media ports at the back of PC, USB ports and similar small openings.

and I don't know how your rig looks and where you intend to put it so my suggestion may not at all be accurate, it's just my 2 cents happy.png

GUGEL

dB(A) – desiBel, veid A-kurve: Lydtrykk i dB etter en såkalt veiet A-kurve, der tallet gir lydtrykk i antall dB over høreterskelen. Tallet i dB angir effekten pr. flateenhet over høreterskelen (= 0 dB). Typiske lydtrykk er bakgrunnsstøy (40 dB), samtale (60 dB), musikk (85 dB), rockekonsert/diskotek (110 dB), jetmotor på relativt nært hold (150 dB)

Styrken måles i desibel (dB).

Again I do my best to understand correctly but I'm not master of norweigan yet =)

I just wanted to clarify that while you are correct in your statement that a increase of 100% or doubling the real sound volume is only equal to a small in-proportional increase on a dB scale, but the reason we use dB is because of how the human ear works.

In other words, a doubling of real sound volume is also registered by the human ear as a relatively small increase, almost proportional to that of the increase on the dB scale.
